Nestled in Penn Laird, Valley Jump Park stands as a prominent indoor amusement center, particularly known as the region's first trampoline park. It offers a vibrant space where children and adults alike can defy gravity, burn off energy, and enjoy a memorable time, regardless of the weather outside. It has been a go-to spot for family fun and celebrations for many years, evolving to meet the needs of its visitors.
Valley Jump Park provides a dedicated environment for active play, centered around its vast trampoline arenas. While it has matured over its six years of operation, it continues to offer a valuable outlet for physical activity and entertainment. The park is a popular choice for birthday parties and casual visits, providing a lively atmosphere for kids to socialize and engage in high-energy activities. It’s a place designed to encourage movement, laughter, and fun, serving as a staple in the local community for indoor recreation.
Valley Jump Park is conveniently located at 4549 Spotswood Trail, Penn Laird, VA 22846, USA. This address places it directly off Route 33, a major thoroughfare in the Shenandoah Valley. Its proximity to Harrisonburg makes it easily accessible for residents of that city and surrounding areas within Rockingham County and beyond. The straightforward access means less time spent navigating and more time enjoying the fun inside.
The location in Penn Laird, a short drive from the bustling areas of Harrisonburg, offers the benefit of being easily reachable while avoiding the deepest city traffic. Ample parking is typically available at the facility, contributing to a smooth and stress-free arrival for families. This accessibility is a key factor in its continued popularity among Virginia locals looking for convenient, high-energy entertainment close to home, without having to travel to more distant metropolitan centers.
Valley Jump Park offers a variety of attractions and services primarily focused on trampoline-based activities, but also incorporating other engaging elements for a well-rounded experience. Here’s an overview of what you can expect:
- Vast Trampoline Arena: The core of the park features thousands of square feet of interconnected trampolines, including wall-to-wall bouncing surfaces, providing ample space for free jumping and acrobatic fun. The park boasts over 7,000 square feet of trampolines within its 18,000-square-foot building.
- Foam Pits: Large pits filled with soft foam cubes offer a safe landing spot for jumpers to practice flips, tricks, or simply enjoy a soft fall.
- Dodgeball Area: Dedicated trampoline courts for playing dodgeball, adding a competitive and team-based element to the jumping experience. New balls have been introduced to enhance this area.
- Arcade Games: A recent addition, the park now features video games, providing alternative entertainment options when kids need a break from jumping or for those who prefer electronic fun.
- Birthday Party Rooms: Valley Jump Park is a popular venue for birthday parties, offering three dedicated party rooms. Party packages typically include jump time, access to a party room, and assistance with setup and cleanup, taking the stress off parents.
- Snack Bar ("Valley Jump Café"): A variety of convenience items, including ICEEs, soda, and prepackaged snack foods, are available to refuel jumpers.
- Seating and Relaxation Areas: For parents or those needing a break, there are couches and TVs for relaxing and observing the activities, along with outdoor picnic tables.
- Jump Socks Requirement: For safety and cleanliness, all jumpers are required to wear trampoline-approved jump socks. Visitors can bring their own if they meet the standards or purchase reusable pairs at the front desk.
- Flexible Jumping Durations: Jump tickets are available in various increments, typically from 30 minutes up to 2 hours, allowing visitors to choose a duration that suits their energy levels and budget.
Valley Jump Park has several features and highlights that contribute to its appeal as a local amusement destination in Virginia:
- Shenandoah Valley's First Trampoline Park: As a pioneering facility in the region, it holds a unique place in the local entertainment landscape, offering a specialized form of active recreation that was previously unavailable.
- Family-Owned and Operated: Being a family-owned and operated business, with the owners living in the community, often fosters a more personal and community-focused atmosphere.
- Excellent for Burning Energy: It remains a highly effective venue for children to release pent-up energy, promoting physical activity in a fun and engaging way, which is a major draw for parents.
- Dedicated Party Venue: The availability of multiple party rooms and the staff's assistance with party logistics (setup, timing, cleanup) make it a convenient and popular choice for hassle-free birthday celebrations. The policy on outside food for parties (cake, cupcakes, prepackaged snacks, and delivered pizza) adds to the convenience.
- New Video Game Addition: The recent investment in new video games demonstrates a commitment to diversifying entertainment options and keeping the facility updated, catering to broader interests.
- Snack Bar Convenience: The on-site snack bar allows visitors to stay fueled without needing to leave the premises.
- Parental Comfort: The provision of comfortable seating areas with TVs for parents to relax while their children play is a thoughtful amenity.
While the park offers significant value, some customer feedback points to areas where consistent maintenance and updates could enhance the experience further. This includes suggestions for refreshing foam pits, increasing trampoline spring tension, and ensuring all equipment is in top condition to maintain its initial "luster." The removal of the swinging rope instead of repair and worn-out vinyl on bats are specific examples noted by long-time patrons. However, the acknowledgment of recent investments, like new dodgeball balls and video games, suggests an ongoing effort to improve.

Valley Jump Park Reviews
Fun place for 30 minutes. I’ve been coming for 6 years and see where some of the negative reviews come from. When it was new, everything was special. I’ve been for birthday parties and they were good. But you can definitely see a noticeable difference over 6 years, if it’s your first time you may not notice the aging. The most recent was the swinging rope was removed instead of repaired. The inflatable landing pad does not hold me up well near the edges due to the fans. The trampolines need springs tension increased. The bats you swing at each other are so worn when I swung it, my son said it scratched him from the broken vinyl. More vacuuming and general cleaning and wiping of surfaces. Replace all the foam in all the pits. It’s still fun but even my kids are ready to roll after 30 minutes. Maybe I’ve brought them too many times but it’s worn off its luster. I still give it 4 stars but would lower it to 3 if the trend continues. New addition of video games is cool, they are investing in some areas my recommendation is take care of the primary basics for why people go to a trampoline park. New balls in dodge ball area were good.
Dec 08, 2024 · MATTHEW SODIKOFFKids really seem to have fun at this place. We were there for our 2 year old granddaughter. I bought ice cream so she would be happier! 😀
Feb 06, 2025 · John YatesThere's a great park right behind this place with a very scenic footpath where you can walk or run if that information helps anyone who's scrolling their phone in the waiting area. I got around it twice and got some fresh air during a kids birthday party today. The kids love going there, but I don't care for being in there when it's crowded.
Jan 26, 2025 · Aaron HValley Jump was an amazing place to take our field trip. Thank you for being so accommodating to our special little people. It was a great day for everyone and we appreciate all that you did to ensure we had a wonderful experience.
Mar 28, 2025 · Jacquelyn SuttonSo my son loves this place since the first time he came here! So he wanted his birthday party here and it was awesome! The staff was polite and helpful and courteous! Asked if there was anything we needed, if we needed help bringing items in or out! All round a great place to take your kiddos to let their energy out and to have fun! Wether it’s for a couple hours or for a birthday party! I’ll definitely be back again for future parties 🎉 and for future jumping of course 😁
