Velocity Island Park Reviews
We did not have a great experience wakeboarding at this cable park. There was a large summer camp group that arrived at the same time as our reservation. Between this, and some equipment issues (seems like one of the carriers was broken, and there were not enough tow ropes to keep things running smoothly), there was a frustrating wait of up to 20 minutes for launches. My advice to management would be to limit the amount of tickets sold per session, or not sell tickets at the same time that a summer camp group is there, and to keep the equipment in better condition.
Jun 20, 2025 · Blake KarwoskiThis is a really nice place to hang out being able to rent a beach for the kids is a plus the only bad thing is staff Need to be retrained in customer service we ordered some food at the bar when I mentioned the food that was given is not the same of what I requested. The girl made faces and when I requested sauce, they made me wait over For them to bring it, but completely ignored me and kept making drinks and serving other customers and just left me sitting for a long time Kind of disappointing for how expensive the food was and the Beach rental being expensive you would think you would have better service for your clients
Jun 01, 2025 · Abby ChamberlainMy husband and I have been coming to Velocity for years and it's such a wonderful place to spend our off time. Beach sites are fabulous and the food at the on-site eatery is insanely good. They even had the most delicious local fresh oysters today. Can't wait to spend more time here in the future.
Sep 29, 2024 · Deena DonkThe kids had fun on the obstacle course and the food was pretty good. However, I would definitely need to see changes, and an investment to improve the amenities, if I ever go back. The staff was nice, but not professional, as evidenced by the life guard who watched his iPhone wristwatch vs. my kids, and the food counter attendant who was eating both times I went to the counter. The most popular section of the obstacle course is apparently broken beyond repair and just laying off to the side, which was very disappointing for my kids, and the water did not appear sanitary. For the price I would expect this place to have more shade, more seating, more grass or pavement (less dirt and gravel), and a drinking fountain or (better) a water bottle refill station.
Aug 05, 2023 · courtney albrechtGreat summertime attraction for all ages. Helpful staff will teach you to wakeboard. Bar and restaurant are stocked with a wide variety of quality items. Beach rentals are available and aqua park is super fun. Pricing is fair and they have package deals to take advantage of. Definitely covid friendly; outdoor seating, socially distanced stickers, constant sanitizing of equipment and surfaces, and dedicated personal areas available.
