Surge Adventure Park in Newport News is an excellent and highly suitable destination for local Virginians, particularly those seeking dynamic indoor entertainment in the Hampton Roads area. The reviews from actual customers highlight several key aspects that make this amusement center a valuable asset to the community.
Firstly, the enthusiastic praise for the staff, such as "The manager Toni & team member Jayonna are simply phenomenal. They take great care of us each & every time we come to this amazing establishment," speaks volumes about the commitment to customer service. For families, a welcoming and helpful team significantly enhances the overall experience, ensuring that guests feel valued and supported during their visit. This level of service is crucial for building a loyal local customer base.
The park's environment is also a major plus for local users. The facility is described as "clean," and the "air flows nicely to keep our children cool," which is a critical factor in Virginia's often hot and humid climate. Parents can rest assured that their children are playing in a comfortable and hygienic setting, allowing them to truly enjoy their time. This attention to facility upkeep contributes directly to a positive and repeatable experience for families.
While one review mentioned that the park might be "a bit pricy in my opinion" at "$30 for 1.5 hour on Tuesday was empty," and noted a "missing just a normal trampoline for older kids," it also acknowledged "A lot of different types of trampolines with a lot of variations for kids to play" and "5 play rooms which is amazing." This feedback indicates that while some specific preferences might not be met, the park offers a diverse range of activities that generally keep kids engaged. Furthermore, the comment about it being "crowd on the weekends" suggests that despite the pricing perception, the park is indeed a popular spot for locals during peak times. The pricing structure, which includes unlimited jump options and special rates like "Parents Jump for $4," aims to provide value and flexibility.
The slight criticism regarding a staff member's communication while on the phone, while valid for improvement, does not seem to overshadow the overwhelmingly positive sentiment about the team's general attentiveness and care. The broad array of attractions, including various trampolines, a ninja course, dodgeball, climbing features, and a dedicated toddler area, ensures that Surge Adventure Park can cater to a wide range of ages and energy levels within the local community. It is a place where children can consistently "have a great time always," making it a highly recommended destination for active family fun in Newport News, Virginia.

Apr 30, 2025 · D Black12/03/2024A lot of different types of trampolines with a lot of variations for kids to play, missing just a normal trampoline for older kids…5 play rooms which is amazing but I didn’t find changing room… and restrooms a bit scary especially if this place made for kids.A bit pricy in my opinion 30$ for 1,5 hour on Tuesday was empty, literally 2 kids , worker said it is crowd on the weekends.About worker… when I come to kindly ask to buy a water she talk on the phone and gave me wave with hand and walk away… with full respect , should not happen, especially when it is 3 customers 🙄
Dec 03, 2024 · Mykhailo MedunytsiaI’d rate higher the place as looks very clean BUT the person in the desk looks like she hates her job, she is being so rude in her way to behave to people. Owners, Managers.. would be very nice if you could select better your employees, this is giving a bad impression to your business. The costumer far from being comfortable could feel even afraid to ask anything. Thanks
Jun 19, 2025 · Evaluna RHEquipment and atmosphere was excellent. Hard to have a bad time. The lady behind the counter was not helpful. As a first time visitor she simply provided no guidance, and said fill out the waiver. Additionally when it came time for my child to cash in the tickets, after stating she would help she vanished behind the desk. She was extremely rude and clearly did not enjoy her job or want to be there. The lady who came and helped us was wonderful and addressed our needs in a kind and thoughtful manner. Additionally, the lady who was rude was heard openly complaining about her tasks to other employees in front of customers. Additionally, she conducted a private call in front of customers when telling us our time was up.
May 21, 2025 · Mathew DanielsClean, staff was friendly and helpful. The process was quick and easy to purchase tickets online. The massage chairs are amazing benefit as well. When me and my son went last it was just us and one other kid and parent, but even when it was busy the staff was still friendly and helpful and every time we have been it is always clean and my kids always have tons of fun!
