Once Upon a Cowboy Reviews
MAGIC! This is my new favorite place to share with my 2 year old. I honestly have as much fun as he does! All of the attractions are thoughtful, creative, and fun for kids and parents alike. Beautiful blend of tech (Journey through the sands is SO COOL) and simple ingenuity (like the house where every surface is a whiteboard including a lifesize horse, and the paleontologist house where you dig up bones to complete a wall-sized triceratops!). And if your LOs need something familiar, the Farm House is like a mini Kangas (indoor playground) and like most of the attractions, doesn't cost anything extra. And the staff are SO SWEET! They treat us like VIPs and are always happy to set up train and dino rides for us even when we're the only guests. I had purchased groupon tickets for my friend but she got sick and canceled last minute, but the very kind staff member remembered me from last time and said i could just call her to use those tickets for another day (since I'd used groupon, there wasnt an easy way to change it electronically). We've been twice now, both weekdays, and had the place to ourselves. I just wish we could spend longer there, but my LO needs a midday nap so that limits us to about 2 hours. Definitely book at least 2 days in advance; I think they probably don't power stuff on if no one has booked on a particular day, which makes sense. It's worth every penny!! Best experience my dino- and train-obsessed little boy could dream of!!
Apr 08, 2025 · Meghan ByersThis place is definitely not like anything else around, which is neat having something different to do/visit. However, I’d say the price is a bit much. We had to pay admission for both adult and my toddler who is 2. (Most places are free for 2 and under) We went during the week, and the prices are cheaper, but I definitely don’t think id justify the weekend prices for me and my toddler. The check in/arrival process is awful. We purchased tickets and signed the waiver online prior to arrival. There is no sign or staff member directing you on what to do when you arrive. Myself along with many others, waited close to 45 mins just to get inside, and the line wasn’t that outrageous. It was just one person working the front desk, very slow. They didn’t give you any sort of wristband etc so I really could have just walked in, and not waited since I had already paid. The arrival and initial getting into the park was a huge turn off and very frustrating. Standing in that extremely slow line made me never want to return. However, once we got into the park, my toddlers excitement changed all of that for me.I’d say for the most part this place is very toddler friendly. I couldn’t really see many children over the age of maybe 6 enjoying it. The ride on dinosaurs and train ride were both extra costs, which is a bummer because we already paid to get in and of course my toddler wants to ride several times. There’s an indoor toddler play area that is air conditioned so that was nice for us to visit. It does state online that some attractions are closed during the weekdays, but doesn’t say which ones so I’m not entirely sure what all we missed out on. The restrooms are clean and the park itself is well maintained. Calling it an amusement park is probably a bit of a stretch. We didn’t purchase any food, the small selection of nothing better than what I’d consider concession stand food was not very appealing. (Hot dogs, popcorn etc) so I’m unaware of the prices for that.We visited during spring break and the facility was clearly not prepared for the crowd. However, all in all, I’d visit again with my toddler, but definitely only on a weekday.
Mar 11, 2025 · Dallas ScarpettaExceeded expectations! There was so much to do. You could spend all day there, and there is something for every age. My almost 3 year old loved digging for Dino bones, and my 8 month old had so much fun in the toddler soft play area. Will definitely be back!

Apr 14, 2025 · Jazz SalgadoY’all, saddle up and listen to this- my son’s 7th birthday party at Once Upon a Cowboy was an absolute rootin’-tootin’ blast! This place is the wildest mashup of dinos and the Wild West you could imagine. Everywhere you turned, there were lifelike dinosaurs and cowboy animatronics that made us feel like we’d stepped straight into a Jurassic saloon. Yeehaw! The staff went above and beyond, letting us mosey in 30 minutes early to wrangle up some extra decorations (though honestly, we didn’t need ‘em). They had the party table all decked out with cowboy hats and bandannas for the kids to take home. Talk about some mighty fine hospitality! Our party host, Skyla, was the real MVP. She was like a trail boss, keeping the kiddos on track and making sure they didn’t miss a single adventure. They got to ride dinosaurs, dig up fossils, throw axes (safely, of course!), hop on a steam engine, and even do some wall coloring and horse painting. And the cherry on top? Meeting Grey the velociraptor after cheering on the Swinging Raccoon Saloon Show.I heard nothin’ but laughter and excitement from the kids all day. They had themselves a rip-roarin’ good time, and I know they’ll be talkin’ about this one for ages. If you’re lookin’ for a party that’ll go down in history, Once Upon a Cowboy is the place to be. Giddy up!
