Complementing the drive-through show is Santa's Snowy Mountain Village, an area designed for more interactive holiday fun. While the primary light show is a passive viewing experience from the comfort of your vehicle, the village offers opportunities for various activities, often including inflatables, games, and the chance to meet Santa and other festive characters. This combination of a grand light display and an activity village provides a multifaceted holiday attraction for locals across Tennessee looking for festive entertainment.

Shadrack's Christmas Adventure at Soaky Mountain Waterpark offers a combination of attractions and amenities centered around its holiday theme. The services cater to both the drive-through experience and the village activities.
- Drive-Through Synchronized Light Show: The main attraction, featuring acres of custom-built LED light displays choreographed perfectly to festive music played on your car's radio. Themes often change annually, providing new experiences.
- Santa's Snowy Mountain Village: An interactive area located inside Soaky Mountain Waterpark (open on select nights), offering additional activities such as:
- Inflatable bounce houses and slides.
- Photo opportunities with festive backdrops.
- Yard games like Jenga, Connect Four, and Corn Hole.
- Concessions with food and drinks.
- Desserts like s'mores kits for roasting over fire pits.
- Craft activities for kids.
- Visits with Santa and other characters (on select nights, often with additional fees).
- Train and teacup rides (may vary by year, potentially with additional fees).
- Ticket Sales: Tickets are typically purchased per vehicle for the drive-through show. Options often include standard tickets (valid any day) and value tickets (valid on specific, lower-demand days). Tickets can be purchased online in advance or on-site from the comfort of your vehicle (cash and credit accepted).
- Restroom Facilities: Access to restrooms, particularly within Santa's Snowy Mountain Village.
- Seasonal Operating Hours: The attraction operates nightly during the holiday season, usually from mid-November through early January.
Shadrack's Christmas Adventure at Soaky Mountain Waterpark boasts several features and highlights that make it a compelling attraction for holiday revelers in Tennessee.
- Spectacular Synchronized Light Show: The primary highlight is the immersive drive-through light show, praised for its "lights in sync with the music" and "acres of lights synchronized to the music on your radio," creating a "mesmerizing array of custom-built light displays."
- New Themes Annually: The show often features a "NEW THEME for 2024," such as an "enchanting North Pole" adventure with elves, Santa, and reindeer, encouraging repeat visits and keeping the experience fresh.
- Interactive Village Experience: "Snowy Mountain Village" offers an added dimension of fun beyond the drive-through. It includes "inflatable bounce houses, plenty of activities for the kids, tons of photo op spots, great food, delicious desserts, carnival games, kids crafts," and character visits, making it a more complete family outing.
- Comfort of Your Own Vehicle: The drive-through format allows families to enjoy the lights from the warmth and comfort of their car, which is particularly appealing during cold winter evenings.
- Family Tradition Potential: The event is promoted as a "beloved drive-through light show" that "has become a favorite family tradition for many," emphasizing its role in creating cherished holiday memories.
However, it is important to acknowledge areas where customer experiences have sometimes fallen short. Several reviews highlight issues with the layout of the initial drive-through sections, where lights were "jammed all the sets together" making it "difficult to figure out what some of them were" due to lights mingling. Some also noted "parts where there were no lights except the driving path lights," suggesting inconsistent density of displays. Furthermore, the pricing and value in Santa's Snowy Mountain Village received significant negative feedback. Specific complaints included a mandatory $15 per child fee for bounce activities regardless of age or time remaining, despite previous indications of free admission with light show tickets. The cost of s'mores kits ($29 for two kits with broken crackers and minimal ingredients) and additional charges for meeting characters like elves or squirrels were also criticized as "atrocious holiday greed." These points indicate that while the light show has strong potential, the value and experience within the village portion, particularly concerning pricing and staff demeanor (e.g., "guy with big glasses counted his money right in front of me Rudely replied"), have been a source of disappointment for some visitors.

While the drive-through light show itself is widely praised for its visual impact, it is important for prospective visitors to be aware of the varied experiences in Santa's Snowy Mountain Village. Shadrack's Christmas Adventure at Soaky Mountain Waterpark Reviews
It was our first visit & we all loved the lights in sync with the music! The not great part was the beginning where they jammed all the sets together. It was difficult to figure out what some of them were because the stuff in the background was so close the lights mingled & interfered with each other. Later there were parts where there were no lights except the driving path lights. It would have been much better if they had spread the sets out to cover those areas & allow all of them to be viewed & appreciated.
Dec 26, 2024 · Nemo In TNDriving through parking lot zig zag $46The light show towards end is cute going with the music but only up beat music we caught it at silent night slow kids were bored. However the start all the different lights your so close and it’s zig zag you can’t make out what your looking at. Needs back drops behind it but where it’s zig zag and your right on it . It’s just lights you miss the ahh factor. Now skip to the atrocious holiday greed Santa’s workshop whatever it’s called at the end .Lighted path to bottom wasn’t working, we walked the shuttle was in use . Arrive at polar zone three bounce activities . Small jump house, small blow up globe, average slide. We were told to building at end purchase wrist band … found the building and there was an hour left til close a little less and I had 5 kids 2-7years oldNo matter age.No matter time leftAll kids must pay $15 each to participate (guy with big glasses counted his money right in front of me Rudely replied if that’s the case with time left and kids age then yeah they pay)So the kids were playing in the free bubble snow being made on concreteI looked for a working heaterOne wouldn’t ignite the others didn’t have a tank insideNone were going to4 fire tables were going so we found one emptyI go to purchase s’mores kit$29 for two kitsOne kit has 4 marshmallows4 crackers (all broken)One candy barAre we freaking serious??We watched kids cry to ride the tiny train because their parents I’m sure didn’t want to pay the pricingTake a pic and meet the squirrel there extra moneySomething about meet an elf again extra moneyThe wholeConcept of the village is cute and there but man oh man charging for every single thing like a photos or meet and greet an elf/squirrel is insanityIt’s was dead hardly anyone there and now we know why. Don’t say oh it can’t be that bad and take your kids down the cold path to the bottom of where they only charge for everything. If I want my kids to jump I’m spending $75 Indoor trampoline park where’s it’s not outside and tiny soo tinyIf we roasting marshmallows I’m not paying $29 for broken crackers, 8 marshmallows and 2 candy barsIf we paying to meet anyone it’s not a squirrel and an elf my kids don’t even know it’s gonna be Santa or real characters.Holidays greedAnd to the kid counting his stacks of cash in front of the guests at the register with the thick glasses and walkie talkie strapped to his vest you have set the tone with your attitude, and disregard to even speak to a customer because you are too busy counting money, you are the mascot for this holiday greed location. Hey bathrooms are free though! I was worried someone was inside going to charge me 😬
Nov 29, 2024 · Tealah LovettThis was our first time going and it was neat to see one time, but we won’t go back again. I have always heard great things about it, but it’s just not worth the cost and drive up to Sevierville for it. Also, Santa’s Village was very lacking and you had to pay for any little thing you wanted to do (in addition to the ticket we purchased to see the lights). Our family did enjoy our time together and that was he main reason for this outting.
Dec 31, 2023 · BrookeInsanely overpriced. $46 to see Xmas lights. Most places I've been to have free Xmas lights, typically asking for (and receiving) donations to cover the costs. They're all on par with this display. It's a nice display but $10 max per vehicle is even pushing the limits. Make no mistake...my rating is based on the price...not the quality of the lights. If it were under $10 it would be 4 or 5-stars but in no universe does this warrant nearly $50. This is a textbook example of holiday greed. Pre-ghost experience Scrooge would be proud.
Dec 18, 2023 · RavenThis was an excellent light show. We were thrilled to see that in addition to all the fun scenes of Christmas that Jesus was proclaimed. We love the lights with the music. The music really enhanced the experience. And the lights going along with the beat of the music was perfect. It was extremely well done. We have been to other light shows in other states and this was the best by far!
