Strang Park Reviews
Great park!! Very cool spot with lots of fun things for the kids. Has picnic tables, 1-3 year old area, pavilion, nice walking trail with benches, and then a super cool playground with lots of space for the kids to run around! It had 4 separate family style restrooms that were decently clean. Highly recommend this place!
Jun 04, 2025 · Joshua AldyStrang Park is a wonderful, modern park, with a taste of history, to boot! At 88th and Farley, just a block south of the Central Resource Library, this park is the perfect spot to play. You can even hit up the library after, or for a needed air conditioning break! The playground is fenced in and has many shaded spots, making it great for parents. With public restrooms, including a family change room and a drinking fountain, you won’t need to leave here for a bathroom emergency. There isn’t any dirt or sand, so you’ll stay pretty clean, but there is a water sprayer to wash off with if you need it. The playground is separated into picnic areas, a playground for the little ones, a playground for the older ones, and equipment for all ages in between. There are walking paths, tennis courts, basketball hoops, and a shelter with a grill, with a bonus book path to go with it, where you can read a children’s book while walking. My favorite feature is a part of railroad track from the Kansas-Missouri (Strang Line) Interurban Railway, that has stood the test of time, along with 4 historical panels explaining the importance of the railway and the history of the Santa Fe Trail, which ran through the area where the park stands now. Strang Park is a great place for kids, adults, and the child within.
Jun 15, 2025 · Andy AkrightAbsolutely loved this inclusive playground!!! Definitely in top 5 parks we have ever been too. Went with 3 teenagers and they were welcomed without looks from anyone and they all had an amazing time. Park has a communication board for non verbal friends, wheelchair accessible teeter totter and Merry-Go-Round. In ground trampolines and lots of spinning and climbing things. Can't say enough good things.
May 14, 2025 · Angelica HitchcockGreat park! Love that it is fenced, has the soft ground material that helps prevent injuries and also makes it an option for muddy days. There is a variety of play equipment for different ages. Very clean and well maintained.Bathrooms have toddler seats so the adults can go to the restroom with less of a struggle. Nice picnic areas and overall just a great space!Only negative is there's not enough parking for how popular of a spot it is.
