Altius Gymnastics Academy stands as a premier facility, dedicated to training gymnasts and setting them on a path to lifelong fitness through a variety of engaging programs. This article aims to offer a clear, engaging, and factual overview of what makes Altius Gymnastics Academy a key destination for local users in Wisconsin.

It's more than just a gym; it's a comprehensive sports complex designed to create a fun, safe, and positive environment where children can thrive. In Wisconsin, where active indoor options are essential throughout the year, especially during colder months, a facility like Altius provides a consistent and structured outlet for children's energy and growth. Our goal here is to inform local users about the academy's diverse services, its convenient location, and the key features that contribute to its reputation as a leading center for gymnastics and athletic development in the Franklin area. We will draw on publicly available information and genuine customer feedback to provide a balanced perspective on what you can expect from a visit or enrollment at Altius Gymnastics Academy.
Altius Gymnastics Academy is conveniently located at 9670 S Franklin Dr, Franklin, WI 53132, USA. This address places it strategically within the city of Franklin, a thriving community in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Franklin Drive is a well-known local road, making the academy relatively easy to find and access for residents not only from Franklin but also from neighboring areas such as Oak Creek, Greendale, and Muskego.
As a dedicated sports complex, Altius Gymnastics Academy typically provides ample and accessible parking for its members and visitors. Its location within a suburban area often means less traffic congestion compared to more urban centers, contributing to a smoother arrival and departure experience for parents. The accessibility of Altius Gymnastics Academy enhances its suitability as a regular destination for classes, practices, and special events for Wisconsin families committed to their children's athletic development.

- Experienced and Caring Instructors: The academy prides itself on "caring instructors" and "small class ratios," aiming to create a "fun, safe, positive environment for your child." Customer feedback generally supports this, with one review stating, "The staff was very friendly, and did a great job engaging the kids. They all had a blast!"
- Comprehensive Curriculum: The curriculum is designed to develop children in "three important areas- Physical, Cognitive, and Social," focusing on life-long fitness and an enthusiasm for physical activity.
- Stress-Free Birthday Parties: A major highlight is their birthday party service, where "friendly and fun-loving staff will lead your child and friends through various age-appropriate activities" and "take care of serving food, pouring beverages, cutting the cake, & cleaning up so you can spend time with your guests." This makes it "so easy for us and enjoyable for the kids."
- Commitment to Safety: The facility emphasizes a safe environment, with coaches who are USA Gymnastics Safety Certified and Medic First Aid & CPR certified, and proper attire requirements for classes.
- Inclusivity Concerns (Based on Feedback): One significant concern raised in a customer review detailed a "very poorly" treated autistic child by "teenage employees conducting the party," leading to a "negative stars" assessment for that specific experience. This indicates a potential area for staff training regarding inclusivity and handling children with diverse needs.

Altius Gymnastics Academy Reviews
Children came to a Birthday party at this facility, my son has Autism and was treated very poorly by the teenage employees conducting the party. Deserves negative stars.
Jun 12, 2025 · JaWe just had our 6 year old twins birthday party here and it was fantastic! The staff was very friendly, and did a great job engaging the kids. They all had a blast! I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Thank you Altius for making it so easy for us and enjoyable for the kids :)
Dec 02, 2019 · Megan PlacidiMy experience was similar to the experience of “Autumn” (see review below). As I did not cancel my membership before first of the month, it was much preferred to just pay for the month without attending the last four classes. Very unwelcoming from the receptionist to the teacher. It was clear that the non-White children were treated differently from staff members as compared to how the White children were treated. It was a very disappointing experience.
Nov 30, 2024 · Elizabeth McDarisWe’ve done morning weekday classes last year and it was great. When we came back and did a weekend class it was terrible. The class we had with Alyssa was not good at all. They did no assisting of skills or obstacles, no talking- I’m telling you they NEVER say hello or introduced themselves and we went 12 weeks of this. I sat in on a class and they barely said anything to the kids besides “sit on your dot”. They’d ignore my daughter when she’s speaking to them, Alyssa just stands against a wall and points to a station the kids need to go to. Whoever assisted the class with her did more than her but even she was too bothered to be there. I’ve seen them get annoyed with kids and eye roll/huff. This is a class of 3 year olds!! When one was told to hold onto a rope, the toddler held something and this lady responds with “that’s not a rope!” These poor kids who need confidence instilled into them are being berated and ignored. My daughter started crying whenever we told her it was gymnastics day, that’s when we knew it was time to leave. Both my husband and I complained about the experience and nothing changed, so we withdrew and enrolled elsewhere. Even the receptionist is uninviting, she didn’t seem to acknowledge our complaint at all. Maybe it’s just a weekend thing with the weekend employees (but good service should be every day) but we will never be back.
