Mini Hops Gymnastics Introduce
For families in Minnesota, particularly those in the Plymouth area, choosing the right preschool is a significant decision. Parents seek environments that not only foster academic growth but also nurture a child's physical and emotional well-being during these crucial formative years. Mini Hops Gymnastics, located in Plymouth, offers a distinctive approach to early childhood education through its academic preschool program, uniquely blending traditional learning with the benefits of gymnastics.
Mini Hops Gymnastics has been a cornerstone of the Minnesota community since 1976, operating as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. While widely known for its comprehensive gymnastics programs for all ages, their academic preschool is a particularly appealing option for local parents. This program is designed to provide an educational experience that goes beyond typical classroom settings, incorporating physical activity and skill development that is integral to a child's overall growth.
The philosophy at Mini Hops Gymnastics centers on developing well-rounded individuals. This is clearly reflected in their preschool program, which aims to build confidence, enhance physical strength and coordination, and foster mental resilience. By integrating movement and play with structured educational activities, Mini Hops provides a stimulating environment that caters to a child's natural curiosity and boundless energy. This approach can be incredibly beneficial for young learners in the Minnesota region, offering a dynamic alternative to traditional preschool models.
One parent's testimonial speaks volumes about the positive impact of Mini Hops: "We have had a fabulous experience with MiniHops. Starting in their preschool programs, then in progressive rec, and now team. I attribute much of our daughter’s confidence to the lessons learned from her coaches. They are great about helping kids grow stronger physically, but also mentally." This highlights the long-term benefits and the comprehensive developmental support that Mini Hops aims to provide, starting right from their preschool programs.
However, it is important for prospective families to be aware of all aspects of the customer experience. A review noted a significant challenge with customer service at the front desk, stating, "I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service at Mini-Hops Gymnastics, particularly from the front desk manager Anne. This behavior was uncalled for and left a terrible impression." The review further detailed a lack of assistance and rude treatment, with no follow-up from management despite attempts to lodge a complaint. This feedback suggests that while the programs themselves are highly valued, the administrative and customer service interactions may sometimes fall short of expectations. As the review states, "Customer service is a vital part of any business, and as paying customers, we expect to be treated with respect. I urge management to address this issue and prioritize better treatment of families. Until this improves, I cannot recommend Mini-Hops Gymnastics to others." This indicates that while the core offerings are strong, the administrative experience is an area for potential improvement to ensure a consistently positive journey for all families.
Despite these reported administrative challenges, the core mission of Mini Hops Gymnastics – to foster development through movement – remains a strong draw for many families. Their dedication to a positive and supportive environment for children, especially within their specialized curriculum, is a key reason why many choose to enroll their children in their programs, including the preschool.

Mini Hops Gymnastics Reviews
We have had a fabulous experience with MiniHops. Starting in their preschool programs, then in progressive rec, and now team. I attribute much of our daughter’s confidence to the lessons learned from her coaches. They are great about helping kids grow stronger physically, but also mentally. The only challenge we’ve ever experienced was functionally getting registered when we were trying to get into the rec program. I perceive they are trying to improve their systems in that regard.
Mar 29, 2025 · Jennifer BI’m extremely disappointed with the customer service at Mini-Hops Gymnastics, particularly from the front desk manager Anne. A week ago, my husband visited the facility for the first time with our daughter and needed to take her to the restroom. He called and asked me if they had a restroom for him to take our 3 year old daughter to, I stated I was unaware and maybe one of her female coaches could take her. I also told him he should check with front desk and as for assistance. Instead of receiving assistance or understanding, he was treated very rudely by Anne. This behavior was uncalled for and left a terrible impression.Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. The manager has consistently displayed a rude attitude, which is unacceptable, especially toward paying customers. I called the establishment and asked Anne to speak with another manager. She then stated I could just tell her why I was calling I stated to make a complaint about you. Needless to say no one ever called me back. We chose Mini-Hops Gymnastics because we wanted a positive and supportive environment for our child, but the lack of courtesy from the front desk is deeply disappointing.Customer service is a vital part of any business, and as paying customers, we expect to be treated with respect. I urge management to address this issue and prioritize better treatment of families. Until this improves, I cannot recommend Mini-Hops Gymnastics to others.
Jan 25, 2025 · Winter WilliamsI would recommend Mini Hops to any parent in the Twin Cities area. The coaches/staff are empathetic and patient with my kids even on their worst days. We also noticed the gym is very diverse and inclusive which is important to our family.
Jan 31, 2025 · Anjali HartyWe are very happy to be able to send our kids to Mini-Hops! We have one child who does summer camp and classes and one child in the Adaptive Gymnastics program. The facility is really huge and all of the coaches we have met so far are great. Our son loves the camp. The camp is a good value for all that is provided even though it costs about 25% more than a park district, school district and day care center camps we looked at. The Adaptive Gymnastics program is an invaluable resource for the community area. Dani, our child’s coach is caring and engaging. The adaptive classes are 1:1 and work out to about $50/hr, which is pretty typical for therapeutic services. Mini-Hops adaptive programs can be paid for through disability waiver programs. I only wish they could have a little bit more open gym or other more flexible opportunities, but I completely understand why they don’t have them (cost, liability, Covid etc.)
Jul 14, 2022 · Britt BWe’ve been going to mini hops for almost 5 years now. So far, my daughter has been enjoying it. The coaches are great, there’s variety of classes to choose from. The reason why I don’t give it 5 stars is because 1. The parking is a NIGHTMARE. When we arrive for our class, there is no parking available, anywhere. I usually park on the side of the road, walk far in the cold, bring my daughter to a class and run back to find an actual parking spot before I get towed. It’s quite stressful. They need to either space out classes either expand their parking ASAP. The other issue is there’s not enough room in the cubbies. Sometimes I have to hold my daughter’s jacket and shoes throughout the whole class. Every single cubby is taken. Please, bring some more cubbies, there’s space for them in the lobby! Other than these issues, we’re satisfied with this place.
