The Park at Traders Point Christian Church offers a focused set of services primarily centered around free, indoor active play for children.
Free Open Play: The core service, providing access to a large indoor playground completely free of charge for all children and their accompanying adults. This is highlighted repeatedly by grateful customers.
Two Main Play Spaces: The facility features distinct play areas, including one specifically designed for children aged three and under, and a larger, more prominent area for older kids to enjoy.
Secure Check-in System: Upon arrival, families are required to check in and register (first-time visitors) to receive name tags for their children. Church workers are always monitoring the door to ensure children cannot leave the area without their accompanying adult, providing peace of mind for parents regarding safety and security. Adults must present a government-issued ID for entry, which is scanned.
Designated Seating Areas: Picnic tables, chairs, and benches are available for parents and caregivers to sit, relax, or even get some work done while their children play. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks to these areas, though food and drinks are not allowed in the actual playground structure.
Restroom Facilities: Clean and accessible bathrooms are available within the play area for convenience.
Water Fountain and Bottle Refill Station: Essential amenities for keeping hydrated during active play, offering both a traditional water fountain and a station to refill personal water bottles.
Cubby Spots for Shoes: Designated storage areas are provided for shoes, as children are required to remove their shoes and wear socks while playing on the equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Online Registration Option: For first-time visitors, an online registration option is available to save time during the initial check-in process, though it does not reserve your space in the park or in line.
The Park at Traders Point Christian Church boasts several impressive features and highlights that make it a standout destination for families in Indiana:
Completely Free Admission: This is perhaps the most significant highlight. The Park is a "free indoor playground" and a "gift to our community," making high-quality indoor play accessible to everyone, regardless of economic background. This generosity is consistently praised by visitors, with multiple mentions of "It's FREE!"
Large, Engaging Play Structure: The main play area is described as a "very big area for kids to play" and includes a "massive five-story play structure" with slides, ensuring children can get a significant "workout" and explore for hours. It features a mixture of stairs, ramps, padded obstacles, and nets, with slides of varying sizes.
Toddler-Specific Zone: A dedicated, safe play space for "ages three and below" ensures that even the youngest visitors have an appropriate and secure environment to play, separate from the more boisterous activities of older children.
High Level of Security: The "very secure system for checking in with children using name tags" and vigilant "church workers always watching the door" provide parents with exceptional peace of mind, knowing there's "no risk of kids wondering off." Adults must present a government-issued ID for entry, which is scanned.
Indoor and Weather-Proof: Being entirely indoors, The Park offers a perfect solution for playtime regardless of external weather conditions. As one reviewer noted, "no matter the weather outside, they will have a place to play," making it ideal for "a rainy day or if it's too hot outside" in Indiana.
Parent-Friendly Amenities: The availability of picnic tables, chairs, and benches allows adults to relax or work (with reliable WiFi) while supervising their children. The allowance to bring in outside food and drinks (to the picnic area) is a huge convenience for families, differentiating it from many other play venues.
Clean and Well-Maintained: Visitors consistently describe the facility as "really nice" and imply its upkeep, contributing to a pleasant experience. The rule about wearing socks helps maintain cleanliness of the play equipment.
Community-Focused Initiative: The entire concept is presented as a community service by Traders Point Christian Church, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all families, regardless of church affiliation. Everyone is welcome to play at The Park.

Indoor Park Reviews
My kids loved it!Ok, this place is awesome!1st, if you are in the area with kids, it's FREE for them to play. You just have to scan if it's 1st time to register your family. Then, when you come in door to check in, you get name tags, and there is someone ( church workers) always watching the door so your kids can't leave area without you. It's safe. They have cubby spots for your shoes. They have chairs and tables and bench areas to sit. (They kinda need some more.) I had to wait about 10 minutes to get a seat. It's FREE!You are allowed to bring in drinks and food with you. They just ask that none go into the playground area. Also, clean up after yourself when done. They have bathrooms in the play area and water fountain area and water bottle refill area.It is a very big area for kids to play. It's indoors, so no matter the weather outside, they will have a place to play. They definitely get a workout. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area.It is really nice.Thank you for the church having this available to the area. Other churches need to do things like this for families.
Mar 27, 2025 · Beth AnnGreat place to take kids on a rainy day or if it's to hot outside. Check online for dates and times they are open. Also very secure system for checking in with children using name tags for security so no risk of kids wondering off really.
Jun 22, 2025 · Derek SpeidelIndoor play ground. It was free for all. Kids get to wear their own socks. 100% free. Preregistration, which is a one time thing you can do before arriving and it's quick and simple. It was super busy when I arrived, which resulted in no tables or benches being available. I was able to keep an eye on my two kids pretty easily. The employee even let me know that I, the adult, could go on the play set and play with my kids if I wished. This was nice as I felt I got pre-approval and wouldn't feel weird about it, if I did have to do so.The only reason I rated 4/5 stars is only due to the space being small which made it feel cramped, especially with how busy it was.
