- Lack of Skill Progression/Boredom: For a "basic tumbling class," a customer observed "no new skills introduced to the main girls that attend the class" over several sessions, leading to signs of "boredom" in the children.
- Significant Cleanliness Issues: This is a major concern highlighted by a customer, detailing "feces sprayed all over the inside of the toilet, and blood smeared everywhere, including the sink." They also noted consistently "no toilet paper or paper towels," "floor is usually littered with garbage," and stated, "I have NEVER seen the toddler gym wiped down, ever." This points to a severe deficiency in facility maintenance and hygiene.
- Handling of Disruptive Children: While acknowledging the challenge, the suggestion was made for alternative approaches to integrating new or disruptive students, perhaps through separate introductory sessions.

Gymnastic Academy North Reviews
We love this place and staff! We do the homeschool p.e. class as well as ninja and open gym. Such a great place, my kids love it here! The staff are so kind and work great with the kids.
Dec 12, 2024 · Taylor GriepI am not usually a person who writes reviews for companies, I understand that people get different experiences from everything they do, good, bad or neutral. I personally don’t have any beef with any of the coaches or owners because my daughter didn’t make a team, or didn’t get into a certain class, she is 4 and is in a basic tumbling class. The first 2 weeks started off well, the teacher made my daughter feel comfortable and was happy with every class. The owner, who I won’t speak badly of much, seemed enthusiastic, took attendance at the end of every class and interacted well with the parents, for about the first 2-3 weeks. After that he was pretty absent from the toddler class at least , and it was apparent his disposition during those first weeks was to make profit for his gym.As the class progressed, additional students would come for a lesson, be disruptive and never come back. Now I have 2 small children, I GET IT, but maybe there can be a separate day where the same teacher can teach a class where the curious parents can bring their kids to see how they do in a class like that, especially at this age.Now as I said, my daughter has always loved her class, but the last 4 sessions she has began to show signs of boredom. Now again, yes she is 4 , but there has been no new skills introduced to the main girls that attend the class and the last class we went to it was apparent all of the girls were getting bored and starting to ask more and more to get a drink or go to the bathroom. All of these things had not convinced me to take my daughter out of her class, until the last session we attended on 01/04/2024. Now the parents and siblings all sit in a small room and watch the kids in the gym. One of the mothers has a younger child who still eats pouched baby food. She was feeding one to him at this session and went to throw it out in the garbage and noted out loud that the pouches she had fed him from the previous session were still in the garbage, along with the other food items she had given him. I went over to the garbage and saw that food items I had bought for snacks from 2 prior sessions was still in there too. Fine, sometimes things get skipped, but how hard is it to grab the garbage weekly if not daily? So before my daughter got out of class I went to the bathroom. Now the bathroom has always been a little nasty, but a lot of people use it can be hard to keep up. But this time I walked in and there was feces sprayed all over the inside of the toilet, and blood smeared everywhere, including the sink. Now I have been a trauma nurse for over 13 years, and it would take anyone with ANY sense to realize this is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. When I was a teen and worked anywhere such as a pool as a lifeguard or an instructor, it was all of our responsibilities to maintain our workplace. If this is not the case and there is a cleaning crew, for the love of your business, fire them. Almost every time I used the bathroom, there was no toilet paper or paper towels, the floor is usually littered with garbage and is just disgusting, hence why I use it during my daughters class so she doesn’t have to go in with me. Now this is my last complaint on the cleanliness, I have NEVER seen the toddler gym wiped down, ever. I don’t know the process of cleaning the mats, but I’m pretty sure the toddler room is missed. Put a Lysol wipes tub in there, wipe the bars down, SOMETHING.Again, I am not demanding anything, don’t care about a refund etc. , just PLEASE do better!
Jan 18, 2024 · Dana MossMax and his family at GAR North are simply amazing. We have been back in the area for 6 months and have been treated like family since we arrived. Their gym is always clean, spacious and fun for the kids. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, bully-free environment for their kids to learn gymnastics while making lasting friendships.
Oct 06, 2018 · Steven CookMy family has never been happier! We love coming to GAR North because they are like family. My daughter has gained confidence, skill, and learned respect for those around her. She loves her gymnastics and ninja classes and has a BLAST. We are so lucky to have this amazing team!
Jul 02, 2019 · Erica SaccucciHad the opportunity to talk to Max, the owner, while my kid attended an open gym for the first time and was thoroughly impressed with the facility, class offerings, and knowledge. Highly recommend checking out.
