This facility isn't just about teaching flips and tumbles; it's about nurturing young athletes, instilling discipline, and building vital life skills that extend far beyond the mat.
Eagle Gymnastics Academy has a rich history, with its owners having shared a passion for gymnastics and coaching since 1988, eventually bringing their vision to life with the academy's founding in 2004. Their mission is clear: to be Frisco's premier gymnastics training facility by offering excellent customer service, a superior training environment, and quality programs delivered by qualified, professional, and caring staff. "FUN, FITNESS, and FUNDAMENTALS" form the core of their approach, aiming to provide a strong foundation for learning and the confidence children need to "BELIEVE, SUCCEED, AND ACHIEVE!"
Customer experiences vary, reflecting the dynamic nature of a busy sports complex. Many parents praise the "patient and energetic" coaches, highlighting positive experiences with recreational classes and enjoying "parent night out on Saturdays." Coaches like Bethany receive particular acclaim for genuinely focusing on "correcting the kids and ensuring proper technique was in place," emphasizing safe and technically correct training. While some reviews mention challenges like limited space during busy hours, potential waitlists for popular classes or level progressions, and mixed age groups in some recreational classes, the overarching sentiment points to a facility that truly cares and helps kids develop coordination, core strength, and confidence in a positive and encouraging environment.

Eagle Gymnastics Academy offers a comprehensive range of programs designed to cater to children of diverse ages and skill levels, fostering a love for gymnastics and physical activity. Their services extend beyond regular classes to include special events and developmental opportunities.
- Parent-and-Tot & Kindergym Classes: Engaging programs specifically designed for the youngest gymnasts, focusing on introducing basic motor skills, coordination, and body awareness in a fun and safe environment, often with parent participation.
- Recreational Gymnastics Programs: Structured classes for school-aged children (ages 5+) at various skill levels (e.g., Red, White, Blue, Bronze). These classes focus on progressive skill development on all gymnastics apparatus (floor, bars, beam, vault/trampoline), emphasizing fundamentals, technique, and safety. They cater to beginners and those looking to advance their skills without the commitment of competitive training.
- Tumbling Classes: Dedicated classes focusing specifically on tumbling skills for floor exercise, often popular with cheerleaders or those wanting to improve their acrobatic abilities.
- Boys Gymnastics Programs: Tailored classes for boys, focusing on strength, agility, and skills specific to men's gymnastics apparatus.
- Competitive Team Programs: For dedicated athletes, Eagle Gymnastics offers competitive teams (Girls, Boys, and Tumbling & Trampoline) that train intensively and compete at State, Regional, National, and potentially even World levels. Their team program is noted for having a manageable size, allowing for more individualized attention.
- Private Lessons: One-on-one or semi-private coaching sessions are available for athletes looking to accelerate their skill development, refine specific techniques, or get personalized attention on advanced movements.
- Birthday Parties: The academy hosts action-packed birthday parties, where expert coaches organize fun-filled gymnastics activities, games, and tumbling for children's celebrations.
- Parent Night Out (PNO): Regularly scheduled events on Saturday evenings, offering parents a few hours of free time while their children enjoy supervised play, gymnastics, and activities at the gym.
- Open Gym / Creative Play: Designated times when the gym is open for supervised free play, allowing children to explore the equipment and practice skills in a less structured environment.
- Summer Camps & Seasonal Camps: Multi-day camps offered during school breaks, providing a mix of gymnastics training, creative activities, games, and social interaction.
- Trial Classes: For new students, the academy often offers free trial classes to assess a child's abilities and help parents determine the best fit for their child's skill level and interests.
- Annual Enrollment Fees & Membership: A standard annual fee for enrollment, with potential membership benefits or discounts on additional programs and events.

Eagle Gymnastics Academy Reviews
We’ve been attending Eagle’s rec classes since my girls were 3yo. All the coaches are patient and energetic. The front desk ladies are always kind and easy to work with. We also enjoyed coming to the parent night out on Saturdays.
Jan 12, 2025 · Patricia YanWe used to go to this location with my two kids. At that time, the program was better. I really liked Coach Mike and Coach Bethany for recreational classes—I can’t say anything bad about them. They genuinely focused on correcting the kids and ensuring proper technique was in place.Coach Bethany is truly outstanding. I believe she is the only one in the recreational program who really cares and actively corrects the classes. She ensures proper alignment in split positions, straightens the kids' legs during bridges, corrects their hip position on bars to help them execute back circles properly, and even adjusts their finger positioning for safety. Some coaches overlook incorrect bar grips, which can be dangerous and lead to injuries. She also ensures proper arm alignment and back positioning for handstands. However, her class has a long waitlist. If you want safe and technically correct gymnastics training, her class is the one to attend.Maybe things have changed over the past year, but this was our experience at the time. They have a team program, but if you're looking for recreational gymnastics without committing to nine hours a week at six or seven years old—especially if you’re not aiming for the Olympics or scholarships—this might be a good option. Their team is small, unlike nearby gyms that have more than 20 kids per level. This allows for better management and corrections. We were never part of their team, but it looked impressive. If your child wants to do gymnastics safely and with proper technique, Coach Bethany is the best recreational coach to go with.Unfortunately, they don’t have a dedicated group for small kids between the recreational and team levels. The blue level is weak, and kids in that group struggle with hip circles. Ultimately, we decided to transfer our kids to another location.Cons:Limited space: During busy hours, when their team is training, recreational classes don’t have much space. Plus, parents like to watch, making it difficult to find a place to sit.Instructor background: Some instructors come from a cheerleading background and don’t know how to properly teach bars.No makeup classes: Unlike other places, they don’t offer makeup classes for recreational students.Level progression delays: There is a long waitlist to move up a level, so your child might be stuck at a specific level for a while before they advance.Mixed age groups: Small kids are mixed with much older ones—my 6-year-old was in a class with 12-year-olds.
