However, it's important to acknowledge some recurring feedback points from customer reviews that indicate potential areas for improvement:
- Inconsistent Customer Service: Reviews sometimes point to inconsistent customer service, with experiences ranging from "mid-tier at best" to staff being perceived as unresponsive or having "attitude." While some individual experiences might be positive, this suggests a need for more consistent training or staffing levels.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance Concerns: Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including unpleasant smells ("old milk," "smells like feet and sweat") and general facility upkeep, particularly in bathrooms and carpets. This can significantly impact the overall visitor experience and perception of hygiene.
- Food Quality Perception: While pizza is a staple, one review describes the pizza as "recycled pizza GROSS!!!", which is a strong negative perception. Other general comments about "mid tier" food suggest that while convenient, the food might not always meet high expectations for taste or freshness.
- Equipment Functionality: Issues with equipment, such as soda machines not having ice or spraying everywhere, can detract from the customer experience and indicate maintenance needs.
- Staff Engagement Issues: Instances of staff making "eye contact... and turn and go the other direction" when customers need help, or a manager being unresponsive, point to gaps in customer assistance and attentiveness.

Chuck E. Cheese Reviews
The games r fun and the customer service is mid tier at best. We sat in a booth and ordered pizza ! They serve recycled pizza GROSS!!! The games were fun though I guess that’s a plus. And the booths r nice , better than shitty tables
Apr 16, 2025 · Big web 45The bathroom smelled like old milk, neither soda machine had ice one spit out mt dew in so fast it sprayed everywhere and I spent the rest of my time covered in it. When it was time to turn in tickets I had 5 separate employees make eye contact with me and turn and go the other direction. When we finally saw who I think was a manager my friend called out to them and she put her finger up to her and turned the other way as well. Once we finally managed to get someone to help us we were not handed what we asked for and they moved on to others in line and we ended up having to wait in line again.
May 30, 2025 · Debbie KleinAs a Dover native, I've seen the city grow and change over the years. I remember when the Chuck E. Cheese was first built, but never had a reason to visit until recently when my children were invited to a birthday party there.I had my reservations, as my childhood memories of Chuck E. Cheese in surrounding states were of a much larger venue, and I had heard tales of the stereotypical Chuck E. Cheese experience. I assumed the Dover location would be similar to the old Club Kids, and thus, my husband and I had avoided it until now.To our surprise, the Dover Chuck E. Cheese was much smaller, which we found to be a blessing in disguise. The layout is essentially one big open room, allowing us to keep an eye on our kids from any corner. This was a relief and a significant advantage over larger, more labyrinthine venues. The games were all operational, and the place was relatively clean, including the bathrooms - a pleasant surprise indeed. Our kids had a great time, and we found ourselves enjoying the experience as well. The food was another unexpected delight, particularly the buffalo wings, which I would definitely order again.I initially considered giving this location 3 stars, as I was expecting more games and less tables. However, considering the number of birthday parties and the fact that almost half the tables were utilized, my expectations were perhaps skewed by my own memories. In the context of Dover, the size and layout of this Chuck E. Cheese are actually quite fitting. It may not have the grandeur of other locations or competitor venues, but it offers a more manageable experience.Despite my conflicting expectations, we left feeling glad to have finally visited. Our kids had their dream experience, especially our youngest who adores mascots of all kinds. So, while it may not be the Chuck E. Cheese of my childhood memories, the Dover location has its own unique charm that fits well within the community.
Jul 11, 2023 · Victoria VadenWe hadn’t been here in years, but we had to find something quick for the kids to do on a Monday night. So we took my nine-year-old daughter 13-year-old nephew and two-year-old niece here to kill time. The older kids, wind and cried and didn’t wanna go, but they had a ball. We all did. We bought the 60 minute passes and my daughter got the $10 trampoline pass so we ended up spending quite a bit of money but we all had fun playing the games. The $10 trampoline pass was not worth it because she might’ve jumped for five minutes. We didn’t get any food this time but I’m gonna tell you everything smelled so good and the pizza even looked good. It is a little pricier than I remember, but overall it’s a pretty good time for everybody.
Mar 18, 2025 · Lindsay FabiszakI bought the monthly Chuck E pass for my daughter so she has an outside the house activity option. It would be a good value, but this particular location charges $10 PER VISIT just for kids to use the trampoline. I was going to cut them some slack on this before because I thought it was a 1 time fee for their "special" socks. This just feels like both greed and desperation. When we use our pass at other locations, they include the trampoline. Not to mention, this location doesn't have any other playground-type area. The people who work there are great! Management needs to evaluate their policies.
