Big 5 Sporting Goods Reviews
There was an incident on the 12th, a couple days ago, where a couple of my friends that came in to purchase a Splat gun and or disrespected and discriminated against and really denied service because they were associated with me, I had gone in later to see if I could purchase the Splat gun and I had gotten denied Service as well, very disrespectfully and rudely because the manager Brian has beef with me that I have no idea what it's about. I had also looked at Big 5's terms and conditions on the store website and it stated that as long as the purchaser was above the age of 18 and the specific products that I was buying was kept I believe it was 4 ft away from individuals 14 and younger it was perfectly fine to buy it, then again I was disrespected and felt like I was being discriminated against. I will never be returning to Big 5 again and I recommend that others stay away from this location
Apr 15, 2025 · Savagerosé69They have an ok selection of knives. Apparently the manager, who lacks etiquette over the phone (he hung up right when I started to inform him of existing state law) doesn't know or doesn't care that Oregon was THE state where the Supreme Court ruled, a while back, that all people have the right to possess knives so long as they aren't bringing those weapons into courts or public buildings. This Big 5 manager claimed that because of a prominent sign placed on the premises claiming something about age restrictions over knives, he had to card me when I bought a *3" Wartech blade* -- I'm 47 dang years old! Get real, Big 5! No one in this state is going to bring a civil tort suit against the Big 5 Sporting Goods store over them selling a KNIFE to a 17-year old person. There is no city ordinance in Corvallis against selling knives to young people either.
Jan 11, 2025 · NickStaff at the Corvallis location were friendly, welcoming, and helpful in helping me find the right pair of shoes for work and walking, which turned out to be very affordable as well.
Feb 19, 2025 · Nate S.Nice and somewhat friendly buy couldn't be a better store.
Mar 09, 2025 · Steve VanderfordService was great. Unfortunately, brick and mortars don't carry a great selection anymore. Online purchases are putting the squeeze on retail stores. I did find my cooler there, though. Thank you!
